GAME DESIGNER
About Me
Hello, I'm a recent game design graduate from Belleville, IL. If there is one word to describe me, it would be adaptable. During my four years at Bradley University, I had to adapt to the many new changes that came with being a college student away from home. From moving out for the first time to being in a completely different environment and knowing no one in the area. Not to mention learning completely new skills and concepts that came with being a game design student. All this together made for an overwhelming, isolating experience that felt rough at first, almost like you're drowning.
Yet, as time went on, everything began to fall into place. The city I live in has become more familiar, the things I learned in my classes no longer feel like foreign concepts, and the people I once saw as strangers have become trusted colleagues, with some becoming my friends. This was not to say it was a walk in the park from this point forward. There was always a curved ball thrown, always something new to learn and improve on, a person you might not see eye to eye with. However, I was no longer struggling. I was overcoming every struggle, every hurdle that came my way. I embraced every challenge that I faced, even welcoming it as an opportunity to learn and improve. I was no longer drowning; I was thriving.
Now, four years later, I have graduated with summa cum laude and completed what I set out to do. I now stare out to the great unknown, not sure what happens next. What I do know is that whatever happens next, I shall face it head-on and overcome any challenge that comes my way. As I said in the beginning, I am adaptable, and I thrive off the new and the unknown.
